With over 32 years of experience in the aviation industry, Robert “Bobby” Mace Jr. serves as the Vice President at Mace Aviation. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the assembly of structural components, mold manufacturing, and painting operations. Bobby’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including aircraft structure, sheet metal work, composites, tube and fabric construction, painting, wiring, engine overhaul, tooling manufacturing, tube fixtures, mold fabrication, and Catia drafting and design.
Prior to his current role, Bobby honed his skills through various specialized training programs. He completed the Rolls Royce 250 series Overhaul school at Vincennes Community College in Indiana and underwent MD Helicopter Pilot training for the 500 series.
Bobby holds an FAA Airframe and Power Plant license, demonstrating his comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance and repair. He is also a licensed pilot for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, showcasing his versatility in aviation.
A graduate of Miami High School, Bobby has continually expanded his expertise through hands-on experience and specialized training throughout his career. His diverse skill set and extensive background in aviation make him an invaluable asset to the Mace Aviation team.
In his free time, Bobby enjoys boating and aircraft restoration, pursuits that complement his professional passion for aviation and mechanics.
